            This study was conducted to describe the implementation of the teaching of speaking English at the Daffodils course in Kampung Inggris. There were five variables included in this study, namely the academic program, the teaching techniques, the instructional material used, the media used and the students’ perception during learning speaking at The Daffodils especially toward the teaching techniques, instructional material, and media used in teaching speaking at The Daffodils. The setting of this study were three classes of different levels which were The Stepping Stone for basic level, Step Two for intermediate level and Public Speaking for advance level with fifty five students in those class  as the samples for this study.This study employed a descriptive-qualitative design. The research instruments used in collecting the data were observation sheet in the form of field notes, interview sheet to the head of The Daffodils, and questionnaires to the teachers and students.

            The findings of this study were as follows. The first, the academic program as a guideline to conduct the teaching learning process at The Daffodils was in the form of headline which consisted of the length of the program, the name of the program, the goal of the program and the instructional material. The second finding, was that the teaching techniques used included the various types of activities such as interview, presentation, role-play, discussion, game, debate, story telling, listening, and watching video and movie. The third was that the instructional material used were the textbooks composed by The Daffodils and other materials developed by the teachers taken from newspaper, magazine, novel, movie and the teachers’ experiences itself. The fourth was that the instructional media used were the white board; tape-recorder for listening section and playing the music; LCD for playing the movie and video; and timer lamp as a time measurement. The last finding was that the students had positive perception during learning speaking at The Daffodils where the teaching techniques, the instructional material and the instructional media had contributed a big improvement for their proficiency in speaking English.  

            Based on the result of the study, it is recomended that the Daffodils should compose a syllabus and the teacher should compose a lesson plan as a guideline in conducting the teaching and learning program effectively and efficiently. The local government of Kampung Inggris should give attention to the development of Kampung Inggris by escalating the place of Information Centre and extending the publication of the Information centre. For the further researcher, it is expected for them to conduct other studies to investigate other elements in Kampung Inggris.
