Penelitian pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi dilakukan karena pembelajaran tersebut merupakan kompetensi pada Kurikulum 2013 sehingga saat ini masih sedikit dilakukan penelitiannya. Kompetensi tersebut bertujuan agar siswa mampu menulis teks eksplanasi dengan sistematika dan bahasa yang benar.Adapuntujuanpenelitianiniadalahuntuk mendapatkan deskripsi ilmiah tentang perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian pembelajarantersebut.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Data penelitian berupa (1) rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP); (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang terdiri atas aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, interaksi guru dengan siswa, dan interkasi siswa dengan siswa; dan (3) pelaksanaan penilaian yang terdiri atas penilaian proses dan penilaian hasil.Hasil penelitianini berupa deskripsi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaianpembelajaran.

Deskripsi perencanaanhasilpenelitian menggambarkan proses guru dalam menyusun RPP yaitu berpedoman pada silabus, kemudian melihat kompetensi inti (KI) dan kompetensi dasar (KD). Berdasarkan KI dan KD guru merumuskan indikator yang lebih terperinci. Setelah indikator dirumuskan barulah guru menyusun tujuan pembelajaran, materi pembelajaran, pendekatan dan metode pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, sumber belajar, kegiatan pembelajaranserta penilaian. PadaRPP yang disusun guru terdapat upaya mewujudkan KI-1, KI-2, dan KI-4. Selain itu, RPP yang disusun oleh guru menerapkan pendekatan saintifik berupa aktivitas mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan data, mengasosiasi, dan mengomunikasikan.

Hasil penelitian berupa deskripsi pelaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran terdapat aktivitas guru yang mengarahkan siswa untuk mengamati gambar peristiwa alam, mengarahkan siswa membuat kerangka karangan teks eksplanasi secara individu, menjawab pertanyaan siswa seputar langkah-langkah menyusun teks eksplanasi. Aktivitas siswa berupa mengamati gambar, membuat kerangka karangan, membacakan kerangka karangan, danmengembangkan kerangka karangan menjadi teks eksplanasi yang utuh. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaranguru menerapkan pendekatan saintifik berupa aktivitas mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan data, mengasosiasi, dan mengomunikasikan.

Deskripsi penilaiandarihasilpenelitianmenunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan penilaian sikap dan penilaian keterampilan yang berpedoman pada Kurikulum 2013. Penilaian sikap yang dilakukan guru berpedoman pada lembar observasi dan dilengkapi dengan kriteria dan deskriptor. Aspek yang dinilaidalampenilaiansikap yaitu sikap religius, sikap menghargai, sikap jujur, dan sikap kreatif. Penilaian keterampilan digunakan guru untuk menilai hasil karangan teks eksplanasi dengan menggunakan tes unjuk kerja (fortofolio). Pada penilaian keterampilan,guru berpedoman pada rubrik penilaian yang dilengkapi kriteria dan deskriptor. Aspek yang dinilai dalam penilaian keterampilan meliputi ketepatan menentukan ide pokok, ketepatan isi dan penggunaan bahasa pada bagian pernyataan umum, ketepatan isi dan penggunaan bahasa pada bagian deretan penjelas, ketepatan isi dan penggunaan bahasa pada bagian interpretasi, dan ketepatan tanda baca/ejaan.

Research on the learning of writingexplanation text was donesinceit is a competency in Curriculum 2013, so there are still a few researches that were done. The competence intends that the students are able to write explanation text well.The purpose of this research is to gain a scientific description of the planning, implementation, and learning assessment.

This study used qualitative approach with case study as the research design. The data were in the form of (1) lesson plan (RPP); (2) the implementation of learning consisting of teacher’sactivities, student’s activities, teacher interactions with students, and students with students interactions; and (3) the assessment consisting of process and outcome assessment. The result of this research was a description of the planning,implementation, and learning assessment.

Description of the research planning described the process of the teacher in preparing the lesson plan based on the syllabus, then looked at the core competencies (KI) and basic competences (KD). According to the KI and KD, the  teacher formulated more detailed indicators. After the indicators were formulated then the teacher prepared the learning objectives, learning materials, approaches and methods of teaching, learning media, learning resources, learning activities and assessment. In the lesson plan prepared by the teacher, there were the realization of KI-1, KI-2, and KI-4. In addition, the lesson plan prepared by the teacherwas implementing scientific approach in the form of observing, asking, collecting data, associating, and communicating activities.

The result of the research in the form of a description of teaching and learning activities showed that in the implementation of the teaching and learning activities the teacher led the students to observe images of natural events, directed the students to make the outline of individual explanation text, answered the student’s questions about the steps in composing the explanation text. The student’s activities such as observing the image, making the outline, reading the outline, and developing the outline become the completeexplanation text. In the teaching and learning process the teacher used scientific approach in the form of observing, asking, collecting data, associating, and communicating activities.

 

The assessment description of the results showed that the teacher usedattitudes and skills assessment based on the Curriculum 2013. The attitudes assessment that was done by the teacher was based on the observation sheets and fitted with the criteria and descriptors. The aspects that was assessed on the attitudes assessmentwas religious, respect, fairness, and creative attitudes. The skills assessment was used to assess the explanation text using the performance test (Portfolio). In the skills assessment, the teacher used the assessment rubric equipped with criteria and descriptors as a guide. The aspects that was assessed on the skills assessmentwere the accuracy of determining the main idea, the accuracy of the content and the use of language in the general statements, the accuracy of the content and the use of language in the explanation row, the accuracy of the content and the use of language in the interpretation, and the accuracy of punctuation/spelling.
