Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran wajib yang ditempuh mulai dari tingkat dasar hingga tingkat menengah atas dan termasuk dalam daftar mata pelajaran yang diujikan pada Ujian Nasional. Namunkenyataannya, matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaranyangdianggap sulitoleh siswa.Hasil wawancara informal dengan salah satu guru matematikayaitu Ibu DewiMas’ula yang dilakukandi MTsNTuren,menunjukkan bahwasiswa susah untuk memahami konsepbangunruangsisidatar secara mandiri terutamadalammemvisualisasiobjekbangunruangsisidatar. Hal inidapatdilihatketikadiberikan soal, siswa hanya bisa mengerjakan sesuaidengancontohsoal yang ada.Selamainipemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang digunakanmasihberupapower point yang berisiringkasanmateridanvisualisasiobjek yang kurangnyata. Sehinggaterkadangsiswamerasabahwapembelajaranmateribangunruangsisidatarkurangmenarik. Berkaitandenganhaltersebut, makadilakukanpenelitianpengembangan media pembelajaranAugmented Reality berbasis Android padamateribangunruangsisidatarkelas VIII SMP.

Penelitianpengembanganinidilaksanakandengantujuanmenghasilkanproduk media pembelajaranAugmented Reality berbasis Android padamateribangunruangsisidatarkelasVIII SMP yang valid, praktis, danefektif. Model pengembanganinimengacupada model 4-D (four D model)diadopsidari model Thigarajan, yang terdiridari(1) Pendefinisian, (2) Perancangan, (3) Pengembangan, dan (4) Penyebaran. Produk yang telahdikembangkandivalidasike validator ahlimateridanvalidatorahli media. Ujikepraktisandilakukanmelalui25 siswakelas VIIIF MTsNTuren. Sedangkanujikeefektifandilakukandenganmemperhatikannilaievaluasi yangdiperolehsiswasetelahmenggunakanproduk. Data kualitatifberupakritikdan saran dijadikanbahanpertimbangandanrevisi demi penyempurnaanproduk yang telahdikembangkan.

Berdasarkanhasilujicobakriteriakevalidandiperolehhasil 3,31dari validator ahlimateri, 3,28dari validator ahli media, dan 3,17 untukkevalidanangketsiswa. Kriteriakepraktisandiperolehhasil3,45menunjukkanbahwaresponsiswaterhadap media pembelajaranAugmented Realityberbasis Android tinggi. Kriteriakeefektifandengan rata-rata 88,4dan84% padaujikeefektifanberdasarkanpresentaseketuntasannilaievaluasipadaujicobalapangan. Dari hasiltersebutdapatdisimpulkanbahwaproduk media pembelajaranAugmented Realityberbasis Android padamateribangunruangsisidatarkelas VIII SMP yangdikembangkantelahmencapaikriteria valid, praktis, danefektif.

Mathematics is one of the compulsory subjects to be undertaken from theelementary to the high school and is included in the National Exam. However,mathematics is one of the subjects considered difficult by students. An informalinterview with one of the mathematics teachers, Mrs. Dewi Mas'ula conducted atMTsN Turen, shows that students are difficult to understand the concept of 3-dimensional shape independently, especially in visualizing some objects whichare including to the 3-dimensional shape. This can be see when they were givensome problem, they could only do according to the previous example. So far,theinstructional technique in that school was by using powepoint that contains asummary of instructional matter and visualization of objects that are less real. Sothat’s why, sometimes students feel that the instructional matter of 3-dimensionalshape is less interesting. In relation to this case, the researcher conducts researchdevelopment of Augmented Reality Android-based as a learning media on 3-dimensional shape for VIII grade.

This research development is conducted with the aim of producing a valid,practical, and effective Augmented Reality Android-based 3-dimensional shapefor VIII grade. This development model refers to the 4-D model (four D models)adopted from the Thigarajan model, which consists of (1) Definition, (2) Design,(3) Development, and (4) Distribution. The developed product has been validatedby the material expert validator and the media expert validator. The practicalitytest is done by 25 students of VIIIF grade of MTsN Turen, while the effectivenesstest is done by observing the evaluation score that is obtained by the students afterusing the product. The qualitative data in the form of criticism and suggestionswill be a consideration and a revision for the refinement of the product.

Based on the validity test criterion, it obtains 3.31 from material expertsvalidator and 3.28 from media experts validator. A practicality criterion obtains3.45 that indicates students' response to Augmented Reality Android-based ishigh. The effectiveness criterion with an average of 88.4 and 84% on theeffectiveness test is based on the percentage of complete evaluation score on thepractical test. From these results it can be concluded that the learning mediaAugmented Reality Android-based on a 3-dimensional shape for VIII grade hasreached the valid, practical, and effective criterion.
