The Influence of Financial Compensation and Work Environment on Employees Job Satisfaction (Study at PT. Sakti Setia Santosa Malang)

Abstrak


The success or failure of a company is determined by the human factor. There are human resources in company as an activator or executor to achieve the company’s goal. Good management of human resources makes the performance better in the whole factors. One of the tools to achieve optimal performance of employees is the job satisfaction of their employees itself. One of the methods the company to improve employees job satisfaction is through financial compensation and work environment. This study aims to determine the description and influence of financial compensation and work environment on employees job satisfaction at PT. Sakti Setia Santosa Malang.

The method for this research is using quantitative research methods. Population and sample in this study were all employees of PT. Sakti Setia Santosa Malang that consist of 58 people. This study uses a questionnaire instrument. Analysis of the data in this study is using multiple linear regression analysis.

Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that: 1) Description on financial compensation received by employees is included in the category of expectation, description of the work environment variables contained in the company included the adequate category, a description of the variables job satisfaction felt by employees included in the category are satisfied; 2) Financial compensation is a significant positive influence on employees job satisfaction; 3) The work environment is positive but it is not significant influence on employees job satisfaction.

Advice given to the respondent or employees of PT. Sakti Setia Santosa Malang is expected to increase employees awareness to create a condition that gives a secure sense among the employees itself and to build a sense of family among corporate leaders and employees so that the implementation can work well, it is expected that employees can organize a well thought patterns in the implementation of the work so as to be able to cooperate with his fellow colleagues and when they find a problem in the work, they can solve the problem together.
