Abstrak


Family is one aspect that has important role in deciding the achievement of students. It is the main and the first education center since it is the closest people for a child. Besides family, the learning facility at home is another important aspect in deciding students’ achievement. By supporting from the family and the accomplishment of learning facility at home, it will easier for child to reach their achievement they want. The research question of this study are (1) how is the family background of 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang, (2) how 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang use benefit on learning facilities at home, (3) how the achievement level of 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang (4) are there any relationship between family and the achievement of 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang, (5) are there any relationship between the usage of learning facilities at home and the achievement of 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang, (6) are there any relationship between family and the usage of learning facilities at home toward the achievement of 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang. The objective of this study is to know the effect of family and the usage of learning facilities at home toward the achievement of 10th grade students on economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang.

            In collecting the data, this study use questionnaire and documentation or daily quiz percentage. The population in this study is every 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang which are 116 students from three classes. The sample of this study is 15 representative students from each class for 10th Grade 1 Students, 16 representative students for 10th Grade 2 Students, and 15 representative students for 10th Grade 3 Students. The total is 46 students. The sample collection is done by proportional random sampling that is the sample is taken randomly without considering the level in the population member. The location of this study is done in SMA Negeri 1 Bululawang, Malang Jl. Raya Bululawang. This research is done in April-May 2009. The data is analyzed using double regression analysis.

            The result of this study shows that the significance standard t = 0,000 < 0,05 for variable X1 is 0,507 and is quadrated into 0,257 or 25,70%. This result explained that the family factor is significantly influence students’ achievement. on the variable X2, it is obtained significance standard t = 0,0002< 0,05; for variable x2, 0,447 is obtained after it is quadrated into 0,1998 or 19,98% which means there is significance effect between learning facilities at home and 10th Grade Students’ achievement on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang. From the regression analysis, the hypothesis value F = 0,482 which state that there is significance effect between family (X1) and learning facility at home (X2) toward the achievement (Y) of 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang.

            The conclusion of this study is there is significance influence between family and the usage of learning facilities at home toward the achievement of 10th Grade Students on Economics in SMAN 1 Bululawang. Based on the research, it is advised that parents should increase the attention toward their children by keep educating them to regularly study, observe their advancement and their achievement, pay attention on their needs especially which is related to their school such as material books, stationary, and supporting learning facilities at home.
