Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk:

1) menguji perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Problem Bassed Learning (PBL) berbantuan Media Straight Line dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran

Koperatif pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar,

2) menguji perbedaan hasil belajar matematika antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Problem Bassed Learning (PBL) berbantuan Media Straight Line

dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Koperatif pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Exsperimenal Design dengan bentuk Nonequivalent control grup design. Subjek berjumlah 54 siswa dengan pengambilan sampel yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar didapatkan dari hasil tes tertulis. Bentuk instrumen dari tes tersebut berupa soal uraian. Dianalisis menggunakan statistik parametrik Independent Sample T-Test.

Berdasarkan hasil obeservasi dan wawancara di SDN Bunulrejo 4 Malang, terlihat bahwa rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada siswa yang berdampak terhadap hasil belajar. Hal tersebut membuat peneliti menguji perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar matematika melaui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Media Straight Line. Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dipilih karena mampu melibatkan siswa secara aktif berkelompok dan melatih kemampuan berpikir siswa dalam memecahkan masalah. Sedangkan Media Straight Line dipilih karena dapat memberikan pengalaman langsung dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan :

1) perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Problem Bassed Learning (PBL) berbantuan Alat Peraga Straight Line dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Koperatif pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar,

2) perbedaan hasil belajar matematika antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Problem Bassed Learning (PBL) berbantuan Alat Peraga Straight Line dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Koperatif pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat dilihat dari hasil uji t yang menunujukan bahwa nilai T hitung (2.363) > t tabel dan nilai signifikansi (0,022) < alpha (0.050). Perbedaan hasil belajar dapat dilihat dari nilai t hitung (4,302) > t tabel dan nilai signifikansi

(0,000) < alpha (0.050).

The purpose of this research is to:

1) examine the differences in mathematical problem solving abilities between groups of students who were taught with problem based learning models assisted by straight line media and groups of students who were taught cooperative learning models of fifth grade

students of Elementary School,

2) examine the differences in mathematical learning outcomes between groups of students who were taught with problem based learning models assisted by straight line media and groups of students who were taught cooperative learning models of fifth grade students of Elementary School. This type of research is Quasi Exsperimenal Design with Nonequivalent

control group design, with 54 subjects. Sampling was determined by purposive sampling technique. Data on Mathematics problem solving skills and learning outcomes obtained from written tests. While the instrument from the test is a description question. Analyzed using descriptive statistical and parametric statistical analysis Independent Sample T Test.

Based on the results of observations and interviews in SDN Bunulrejo 4 Malang, it can be seen that the low ability to solve mathematics problems in students has an impact on learning outcomes. Corrected by using a Problem Based Learning Model assited by Straight Line Media. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model is a learning model that divides the students into groups, where each group gets different material from other groups and discusses the discovery material. Straight Line Media approach is a learning strategy that provides direct experience to students in solving problems. Approach here is useful to increase student activity in learning to be more fun and get real experience. The results showed that:

1) the differences in mathematical problem solving abilities between groups of students who were taught with problem based learning models assisted by straight line media and groups of students who were taught cooperative learning models of fifth grade students of Elementary School,

2) the differences in mathematical learning outcomes between groups of students

who were taught with problem based learning models assisted by straight line

media and groups of students who were taught cooperative learning models of

fifth grade students of Elementary School. The increase of the mathematics

problem solving can be seen from the result of t test which shows that the value of

T arithmetic (2,363)> t table and significance value (0,022)< alpha (0.050).
