Manajemen Kurikulum dalam Mengembangkan Sekolah Alam: studi kasus di SDI dan MTs Surya Buana Malang. (Tesis)

Abstrak


Kurikulum merupakan bagian penting dari lembaga pedidikan atau sekolah, karena kurikulum merupakan sejumlah program pendidikan yang disajikan kepada peserta didik  pada masing-masing jenjang pendidikan, yang keberhasilannya banyak ditentukan oleh penerapanya di sekolah atau lembaga pendidikan terkait. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi yang jelas tentang pengelolahan manajemen kurikulum, yaitu bagaimana perencanaan kurikulum, pengorganisasian kurikulum, pengimplementasian kurikulum, evaluasi kurikulum di sekolah Alam MTs Surya Buana Malang.

Penelitia ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan tiga cara yaitu, (1) wawancara mendalam, (2) observasi berperan serta, (3) dokumentasi. Pemilihan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif, dengan alur (a) reduksi data, (b) penyajian data (c) penarikan kesimpulan. Agar memperoleh keabsahan data dilakukan dengan empat kriteria: (1) kredibilitas, (2) trasnferbilitas, (3) dependenitas, (4) konfermabilitas.

Dari hasil paparan data di lapangan ditemukan sebagai berikut: pertama, Sekolah alam Surya Buana memiliki dokumen kurikulum KTSP yang disusun oleh pihak yayasan dan dikembangkan disesuaikan dengan visi dan misi sekolah, hal ini merupakan wujud dari perencanaan kurikulum di sekolah alam tersebut. Program perencanaan yang meliputi program tahunan, program semester, program jangka panjang dan menengah, pembuatan silabus dan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Kedua, pengorganisasian manajemen kurikulum di sekolah Alam MTs Surya Buana Malam berjalan dengan optimal dengan adanya pembagian tugas yang seimbang sehingga memaksimalkan kegiatan di sekolah alam ini.Ketiga, impementasi manajemen kurikulum yang diterapakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan mengasikkan sekaligus mencerdaskan dapat dilaksanakan. Keempat evaluasi kurikulum di Sekolah Alam MTs Surya Buana Malang berjalan dengan optimal yakni terlaksananya kegiatan evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam setiap pembelajaran, pengayaan pada siswa yang sudah mencapai ketuntasan belajar, remidi pada siswa yang belum tuntas, pelaksanaan raport bulanan dan try out serta buku daftar perilaku siswa. Selain itu keberhasilan evaluasi manajemen kurikulum di Sekolah Alam MTs Surya Buana Malang juga dapat dilihat dari prestasi siswa dan kelulusan yang dicapai 100%.

Adapun saran berdasarkan temuan-temuan penelitian ini adalah, (1) bagi Departemen Agama dan Dinas pendidikan agar lebih aktif lagi peranannya dalam

kegiatan manajemen kurikulum di sekolah-sekolah dalam rangka menciptakan pendidikan yang bermutu bagi masyarakat. (2) Sekolah lain yang ingin menerapkan manajemen kurikulum sekolah alam agar dapat dijadikan informasi berharga tentang manajemen kurikulum yang difokuskan pada aspek perencanaan, pengorganisasian, implementasi dan evaluasi kurikulum.(3) bagi sekolah agar lebih meningkatkan lagi kreativitas dan kemandirian untuk melaksanakan manajemen kurikulum dan menemukan metode-metode baru dalam rangka penerapan manajemen kurikulum ke arah yang lebih baik. (4) peneliti lain agar melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut, mengenai  manajemen kurikulum di Sekolah Alam lainnya. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk menemukan metode-metode tentang perencanaan, pengorganisasian, implementasi, serta evaluasi manajemen kurikulum di Sekolah Alam.

Abstract:

 

Curriculum is the important part in educational institutions or schools due to it represents a number of educational programs, which are presented to the learners at each level of education in which most of its success is determined by its implementation at schools or at the related educational institutions. Objective of this research is to obtain obvious description about curriculum management, which includes designing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum at the school of nature of Mts Surya Buana Malang.

This research used qualitative approach and case study design. Data was collected through three steps, (1) deep interview, (2) participatory observation, (3) documentation. Selection for informants of this research used purposive sampling technique. The collected data was analyzed descriptively through (a) data reduction, (b) data presentation, and (c) drawing some conclusions. In order to obtain validity of the data, these four criteria must be implemented as follow, (1) credibility, (2) transferability, (3) dependability, and (4) conformability.

Based on result of data description at the field, some findings are obtained as follow: first, School of Nature of Surya Buana has KTSP curriculum document, which was arranged by the institutional management and developed according to vision and mission of the school, and it is the realization of curriculum designing at the school of nature. The designing programs include annual, semiannual, long-term, and medieval programs, constructing syllabus, and learning implementation design. Second, the organizing of curriculum management at the school of nature of Mts Surya Buana Malang has been optimal along with balanced-division labor in order to maximize activities at this school of nature. Third, implementation of the curriculum management on learning activities will be pleasurable and enjoyable, as well as developing intellectual capability. Fourth, the curriculum evaluation at the school of nature of Mts Surya Buana Malang has been optimal by the implementation of evaluation activities conducted by the teachers every learning, the enrichment given to students who have already gained success in learning, remedial program for students who have failed, monthly report, and try out program, as well as a list book that consisted of the student's behaviors. Besides that, success of the curriculum management evaluation at the School of Nature of MTs Surya Buana Malang can also be seen from the student's achievement as well as graduation that reach 100%.

Based on findings of the research, some suggestions are given as follow, (1) for Department of Religious Affairs and Department of Education should be more active in play their roles in curriculum management activities at schools in order to create qualified education for society. (2) Other schools, which want to implement curriculum management that concerning with school of nature, should be used as valuable information in relation to curriculum management, which focused on designing, organizing, implementation, as well as evaluation of curriculum. (3) For the school itself should improve both creativity and self-supporting in performing the curriculum management and find out new methods in implementing curriculum management and pointing to better direction. (4) Other researcher should conduct further research that concerning with curriculum management at other School of Nature. It is intended to find out methods that concerning with designing, organizing, implementation, and curriculum management evaluation at the School of Nature
