Group Investigation merupakan model pembelajaran kooperatif yang berbasis konstruktivisme. Pembelajaran ini dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir analitis siswa. Group Investigation berbasis outdoor studymelaksanakan investigasi di lapangandengan wawancara dan observasi. Siswa diajak keluar kelas menuju lokasi obyek pengamatan dengan materi pengaruh atmosfer terhadap kehidupan di permukaan bumi.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskanmodel Group Investigation berbasis outdoor study berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir analitis siswa di SMA.Penelitian ini ialahpenelitian eksperimen semu yang termasuk penelitian kuantitatif. Rancangan penelitian yang dikembangkan adalah Pretest-PosttestControl Group Design.Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kabupaten Malang dengan kelas eksperimen X-IIS.1 dan kelas kontrol X-IIS.2, masing-masing kelas terdiridari 36 siswa. Pengumpulan data dengan pemberian tes sebelum perlakuan dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data dengan menggunakangain score kemampuan berpikir analitis siswa dengan program SPSS 17.0 for Windows.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Group Investigation berbasis outdoor study berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir analitis siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Lawang. Siswa dari kelas eksperimen memperlihatkan kegembiraan dalam partisipasi, kepercayaan diri dalam meraih tujuan yang pada mulanya telah mereka tentukan. Kepekaan sosial terlihat ketika mereka telah menyelesaikan tugas pribadinya kemudian tergerak untuk membantu tugas teman sekelompoknya menyelesaikan tugas demi kesuksesan kelompok.

Model pembelajaran Group Investigation berbasis outdoor studylayak diterapkan pada pembelajaran geografi. Pembelajaran outdoor study hendaknya tidak hanya sekali waktu saja, tapi dengan beberapa kali pertemuan agar membantu siswa mengasah kemampuan berpikir analitis. Selain itu sasaran obyek/lokasi untuk outdoor study perlu diperhatikan apakah relevan dengan materi yang disampaikan.

Group Investigation is one of theconstructive learning. It can drilled students on how to make independent thinking ability grow, and Group Investigation model has many advantages. Group Investigation based on outdoor study doing the invistigation at the site through interview and observation. Students invited to the site or location that has appointed as a direct observation. It must be appropriate with the topic that students learned. The purpose of research is to find out is the Group Investigation outdoor study-based having an affect on student’s analytical thinking ability in senior high school.

This research is quasi experiment. The type of research is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research was conducted at 1stgrade SMA Negeri 1 Lawang,Kabupaten Malang with experiment class X-IIS.1 and control class X-IIS.2, each class has 36 students. Data collection was done with tests before treatment, known as pretest, and after treatment, known as postest. Data analysis was done by comparing the gain score student’s analytical thinking ability using SPSS 17.0 for Windows.

The results showed thatGroup Investigation based on outdoor study having an effect on student’s analytical thinking ability in 1st grade SMA Negeri 1 Lawang. Students from experiment class showed that there are excitement in their participation, confidence for reach their goal that they given. Social sensitivity showed when they had finished their own duties afterwards move to help their teammate for team’s succes.

Model Group Investigation based on outdoor study can used in learning activities.It can carry out several times so student will upgrade their analytical thinking ability.Also, teacher need to pay attention choose ojbect for outdoor study, is it relevant to material that will student achieve or not.
