In the implementation of Curriculum 2013, the students of Vocational High Schools underwent the unsuitable English learning materials which were not related to their vocational skills. There was also no companion book for the students during the internship in grade XI. Therefore, this study aimed at developing electronic English workbook to be used during the internship. This product was only intended for students from Multimedia Program.

This study followed the Research and Development design through the steps of assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the needs assessment, the e-workbook was developed by combining Task-based Language Teaching and R2D2, which stood for Reading, Reflect, Display, and Do, for online learning activities. The e-workbook had four units which are Unit 1: My Internship Experience for personal letter, hope, and dream; Unit 2: Let’s Talk about Technology for report text and suggestion; Unit 3: Let’s Do Our Project for procedure text and passive voice; and Unit 4: How Will You React for analytical exposition text and conditional sentence. The e-workbook used Edmodo as the media of delivery.

The product was validated and result showed that the product was good and relevant to be used for the target user. The revision from the validation was followed by the tryout of the product to the students of Multimedia Program from SMK Negeri 4 Malang. The implementation showed that the product could answer the students’ needs and could create communicative distance learning. After undergoing the evaluation, the final product in a form of e-workbook was ready to use.

There are some recommendations as the follow up of this study. It is suggested that the teachers follow the instruction of using Edmodo thoroughly for the effectiveness of distance learning. Related to the changing of curriculum, the materials in the e-workbook still can be used in terms of the specific texts and various activities from the supplementary products. For the future researcher, they are expected to develop a product by overcoming the limitation of this study for another vocational program or conducting an experimental research to see the effectiveness of this product.

Dalamtahapevaluasi, produkinidivalidasidanhasilnyamenunjukkanbahwaprodukinimemenuhikriteriasebagaiproduk yang layakuntukdigunakanbagisiswa.Setelahmelakukanrevisiberdasarkanvalidasi, produkinidiujicobakanpadasiswakelasMultimesia di SMK Negeri 4 Malang.Hasilimplementasiprodukmenunjukkanbahwaprodukinisesuaidengankebutuhansiswadandapatmenciptakanpembelajaranjarakjauh yang komunikatif.Setelahmelakukanevaluasi, produkbukukerjasiswainisiapdigunakan.

Beberaparekomendasidiberikansebagaitindaklanjutdaripenelitianini. Guru disarankanuntukmengikutiinstruksipenggunaanEdmodosecaramenyeluruhuntukkeefektifanpembelajaranjarakjauh. Dalammenghadapiperubahankurikulum, produkinitetaprelevandandapatdigunakandalamteks-teks yang memilikitemaspesifikdanberbagaiaktivitaspembelajaran.Untukpeneliti yang lain, diharapkandapatmengembangkanproduk yang mengatasiketerbatasanpenelitianiniuntukjurusan SMK yang lain ataumengadakanpenelitianeksperimentaluntukmengujiefektifitasprodukdaripenelitianini.
