Pengaruh Model Group to Group Exchange dan Motivasi Berprestasi terhadap Hasil Belajar Geografi Siswa Kelas X SMA Laboratorium UM. (TESIS)

Abstrak


Learning conditions UM Laboratory High School students so that less empowering potential acquisition less than the maximum learning outcomes. The existence of these conditions requires a model of learning. Group to group exchange is a learning group that trains work and teach what they have learned. Learning conditions that influence the improvement of learning outcomes are student characteristics, such as achievement motivation. As it is known that the achievement motivation factors can determine the success and failure in learning. This study aimed to determine: (1) the influence of the model group to group exchange for geography learning outcomes, (2) the effect of achievement motivation on learning outcomes geography, and (3) the interaction between the model group to group exchange with achievement motivation affects learning outcomes geography. Quasi-experimental study (quasi-experimental) is designed to use the Treated Control Group Design With Pretest and Posttest. Subjects numbered 74 students were divided into two classes, namely classes as the experimental class X2 and X3 as grade control class. The research instrument in the form of tests of learning outcomes and achievement motivation. The analysis technique used anova test two lanes and t-test were solved with the help of a computer program SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results showed: (1) the use of a model group to group exchange significantly affect learning outcomes. The average result of learning geography with the model group to group exchange is better than the average conventional learning outcomes, (2) achievement motivation affects learning outcomes geography. Average geography learning outcomes of students who have high achievement motivation is better than average students who have low achievement motivation, and (3) there is no interaction between the use of models of learning achievement motivation on learning outcomes geography. Departing from the results of the research can be presented suggestions: (1) to improve learning outcomes geography, teachers can implement the model group to group learning exchange, (2) to obtain the maximum learning outcomes teachers should pay attention to the level of student achievement motivation. Teachers can provide a variety of exercises to motivate achievement, especially students who have low motivation, (3) further research is recommended to use this model in the context of a different material, subject, or other research sites.

 

Kondisi pembelajaran SMA Laboratorium UM kurang memberdayakan potensi siswa sehingga perolehan hasil belajar kurang maksimal. Adanya kondisi tersebut diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran. Group to group exchange merupakan pembelajaran kelompok yang melatih bekerjasama dan mengajarkan apa yang mereka pelajari. Kondisi pembelajaran lain yang mempengaruhi peningkatan hasil belajar adalah karakteristik siswa, diantaranya motivasi berprestasi. Seperti diketahui bahwa faktor motivasi berprestasi dapat menentukan keberhasilan dan kegagalan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh model group to group exchange terhadap hasil belajar geografi, (2) pengaruh motivasi berprestasi terhadap hasil belajar geografi, dan (3) interaksi antara model group to group exchange dengan motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar geografi. Penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) ini dirancang dengan menggunakan The Treated Control Group Design With Pretest and Postest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 74 orang siswa yang terbagi dalam dua kelas yaitu kelas X2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar dan motivasi berprestasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan uji anova dua jalur dan t-test yang diselesaikan dengan bantuan komputer program SPSS 16.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) penggunaan model group to group exchange berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar. Rata-rata hasil belajar geografi dengan model group to group exchange lebih baik daripada rata-rata hasil belajar secara konvensional; (2) motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar geografi. Rata-rata hasil belajar geografi siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi tinggi lebih baik daripada rata-rata siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi rendah; dan (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan model pembelajaran dengan motivasi berprestasi terhadap hasil belajar geografi. Bertolak dari hasil penelitian dapat dikemukakan saran-saran: (1) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar geografi, guru dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran model group to group exchange; (2) untuk memperoleh hasil belajar yang maksimal guru hendaknya memperhatikan tingkat motivasi berprestasi siswa. Guru dapat memberikan berbagai macam latihan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi berprestasi terutama siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah; (3) penelitian lanjutan disarankan menggunakan model ini dengan konteks materi yang berbeda, subjek, ataupun lokasi penelitian lainnya.
