Media memegangperananpentingdalampendidikan.Media pembelajarandapatmeningkatkanmotivasisiswadalambelajarsertamerangsangdanmenarikperhatiansiswa.Salah satu media yang diminatisiswaadalah yang bersifat multimedia.Penelitimemilih multimedia interaktif agar siswadapatmenunjang proses belajarmandiri, karenasiswadiberikeleluasaandalammengoperasikan media pembelajarantersebut. Teknologi yang dapatdigunakanuntuksebuahpembelajaranyaitudenganmenggunakanperangkatgenggam (M-Learning).Mobile learningberbasis android diharapkandapatmengaksespembelajarandimanapundankapanpunmelaluismartphonetanpadikenaibiaya, sertadapatdigunakanberkali kali dandapatdipergunakanuntukbelajarsecaramandiri.

Penelitianinitermasukjenispenelitiandanpengembangan (Research & Development).Prosedurpengembanganmelaluilimatahapan. Subjekdalampenelitianiniadalahsiswakelas VIII SMPN 2 Sooko, seorang guru matapelajaran IPA, dandosenTeknologiPendidikanUniversitasNegeri Malang. Mata pelajaran yang digunakandalampengembangan media pembelajaraniniadalahIlmuPengetahuanAlam (IPA) matericahaya. Instrumenpengumpulan data yang digunakanyaituwawancaradanangket.Data yang telahdiperoleh di analisisuntukmemperolehhasilujicoba media yang dilakukan.

Hasilvalidasiolehahli media diperolehskorpersentasesebesar 97,5%, ahlimateridiperolehskorpersentasesebesar 97,5%, ujicobaperseorangandiperolehskorpersentasesebesar 81,25%, hasildariujicobakelompokkecildiperolehskorpersentasesebesar 77,75%, sedangkanujicobalapangandiperolehskorpersentasesebesar 82,625%. Berdasarkanhasiltersebutdapatdisimpulkanbahwa multimedia interaktifberbasis android matapelajaran IPA MateriCahayauntukKelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 SookoMojokerto valid danlayakuntukdigunakansebagai media pembelajaranmandiri.

Bagipengembanganproduklebihlanjut, penelitimenyarankanuntukmenambahkan video dalammateri, menambahkangambaruntukmemperkayacontoh-contohuntukpenjelasanmateri, menyusunmateri yang mudahdipahami, memperbaikandalampenggunaanjenis font danukuran font yang lebihdiperjelas, danmeningkatkualitas video.Sedangkanuntukpenelitianlebihlanjut, penelitimenyarankanpengembangan multimedia interaktifberbasis android matapelajaran IPA matericahayainidapat di ujiefektifitasnyakepadasubjek yang lebihluas.

Media plays an important role in education. Learning media can increase student motivation in learning and can stimulate and attract students' attention. One of the media that students are often interested in is multimedia. Researchers choose interactive multimedia so students can support the students' independent learning process, because students are given the freedom to operate interactive multimedia learning media. Technology that can be used for learning is by using a handheld device (M-Learning). Android-based mobile learning is expected to be able to access learning wherever and whenever via a smartphone without being charged a fee, and can be used multiple times and can be used to study independently.

This research belongs to the type of research and development (Research & Development). The development procedure used is through five stages of development. The subjects in this study were grade VIII students of Sooko Junior High School 2, a science subject teacher, and a lecturer in Educational Technology at the State University of Malang. The subjects used in the development of learning media are Natural Science (IPA) subject matter of light. The instruments of data collection used in this study were interviews and questionnaires. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed to obtain the results of the media trials conducted.

The results of the validation by media experts obtained a percentage score of 97.5%, for the results of the validation by material experts obtained a percentage score of 97.5%, the results of individual trials obtained a percentage score of 81.25%, the results of small group trials obtained scores percentage of 77.75%, while the results of field trials obtained a percentage score of 82.625%. So based on these results it can be concluded that android-based interactive multimedia science subjects Light Material for Class VIII SookoMojokerto 2 Public Middle School is valid and feasible to be used as a medium of independent learning.

For further product development, the researcher suggests adding videos in the material, adding images to enrich the examples for material explanation, compiling material that is easy to understand, improving the use of font types and font sizes that are more clarified, and improving video quality. As for further research, researchers suggest the development of android-based interactive multimedia science subjects in light material can be tested for effectiveness on a broader subject.
