Vocational High School (SMK) need professional teachers to prepare students to face the challenges of globalization. Readiness in social aspects as teacher have to owned by S1 Electrical Engineering (PTE) students. Readiness of S1 PTE students can be measured using internal factors with the variables of self regulation and external factors with social support variables.

This study aims to:

(1) describe social support (X1), self regulation (X2), and readiness in the social aspect as a teacher (Y),

(2) reveal the significance and relationships of X1 and Y,

(3) reveal significance and relationships X2 and Y,

(4) express the significance and relationship of X1 and X2 simultaneously with Y.

The research method used in this study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design. The sample of this study was the S1 PTE UM students with 114 active students in 2014. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data obtained were tested by partial correlation test and hypothesis test to reveal the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables both partially and simultaneously. To measure the variables X1, X2 and Y use an assessment instrument in the form. Variables X_1, X_ (2) and Y have successive levels of reliability which are 0.740, 0.736 and 0.725. The data analysis technique used was partial correlation and multiple regression analysis, prerequisite test analysis, and relative-effective contribution analysis using SPSS assistance.

The results obtained from this study are

(1) X1, X2, and Y in the category of high tendencies

(2) there is a positive and significant relationship between X1 and Y, X2 and Y, and X1 and X2 simultaneously with Y. This research can be concluded that the social support and self regulation aspects have a positive relationship with readiness in the social aspect as a teacher in PTE S1 students
