Abstract: As the using of KTSP curriculum at 2006, many new books has been released in market as well as the revision version of an old book that being compatible with KTSP curriculum or new book that already written or released. That case cause a problem where teachers often confused to decide which book is better or suitable to use.

Text book is used as a supporting book in learning process. But nowadays there are some book that isn’t suitable enough in a few sides that is the content is relevant to KTSP curriculum or not, the using of accurate language, the readability level, and the compatibility of using illustration. Therefore, to solve that condition, teachers and preserve teacher must have ability to analyze text book.

This research has a purpose to describe: (1) relevantly content based on 2006 curriculum, (2) using accurately language, (3) the readability level, (4) illustration compatibility on “Mudah Belajar Bahasa Indonesia Kelas IV SD” authoring by Muh Darisman, dkk, released by Yudhistira. This book is used at MI Al-Islamiyah-Bangil on second semester 2011/2012.

These research uses descriptive qualitative for its experimental design and it type is content analyze. Because the research object is a document like text book, the technical analyze that use is descriptive with percentages.

Based on the investigation, it can be known about the relevantly content with 2006 curriculum, the using of accurately language, the readability level, and the using of illustration. But, there is a little mistake that need to fix. So it can be conclude that “Mudah Belajar Bahasa Indonesia Kelas IV SD” authoring by Muh Darisman, dkk, released by Yudhistira is already suitable to use on 4th grade.

Based on conclusion, the writers give an advice for teachers to carefully analyze a text book to know it is suitable or not. So that some mistake on the text book is not presence in learning process. Then students are not having some misconception after use that text book.
