In the preliminary observations obtained information that the ability of class V students in 02 elementary pseudo-low problem-solving. The low ability in solving the problem is because teachers are not accustom students to solve problems associated with the material being studied.

Formulation of the problem in this study are (1) the implementation of learning science in grade 02 at V SD bogus pre-action stage, (2) the ability of elementary school students' self-styled grade V SD Gadungan 02 in solving problems at the stage of pre-action, (3) the implementation of learning science through learning models Problem Solving in each cycle, (4) the ability of elementary school students in grade V fake in solving problems through learning model of problem solving in each cycle, and (5) increase the ability of elementary school students in grade V fake in solving problems in science subjects through learning models problem solving.

The research approach used is a qualitative approach. This type of research used in this study is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research was conducted in two cycles. Data collection techniques in the study was the observation techniques, test engineering, engineering field notes, and technical documentation. Data analysis in this study followed the qualitative data analysis techniques.

Implementation of the Pre Action learning using the conventional method and the teacher dominated learning. Students' abilities in solving the problem of low on Pre Action. Implementation of learning using a model of problem solving through four stages, namely (1) understanding the problem, (2) make a settlement plan, (3) malaksanakan settlement plan, and (4) examining the results of the settlement. Students' abilities in solving problems in each cycle increasing from cycle to cycle. An increase in the average ability of students in solving the problem of pre-action stage of 57%, 78% of cycle I and cycle II 80.18%. increase students' skills in problem solving accompanied by increased activity of students during learning. It can be concluded that the use of the learning model of problem solving can improve students' skills in solving problems. With the successful use of learning problem solving model to improve students' skills in solving problems, it is advisable to use a model of problem solving as one of the models in learning science.
