Wonoasih subdistrict is one of the village regions in which the society depend mostly on the agricultural sector. Societies who are involved in informal sector activities tend to live in rural areas due to feeling that they are in the same boat in terms of profession. Therefore, the houses they live in sometimes are near the river, mixed with farming activity and other informal labors. Residential problem in Sumber Taman is influenced by the increase of inhabitant number in that region who work in informal sector and they lack knowledge about the healthy environment. Society custom of using river for trash banishment in rural areas makes the river dirty and clogged up. Besides, houses condition in dense National Housing Authority lack ventilation, musty, and crowded due to no enough distance between one house and another.

This research is aimed to describe the relationship about education level, income level, family member number, and house environment health conditions. It uses descriptive research design. The data is obtained through questionnaires and checklists given to 100 respondents (breadwinners) about their education level, income level, family member number, and house environment health. The data obtained from the questionnaire is then analyzed using tabulation (crosswise and singular) and score composite index to measure house environment health.

The research result shows that the respondents’ education levels mostly are elementary school and university. The levels of respondents’ income are mostly < Rp 700.000,- for those who live in rural areas and work as farmers and ≥ Rp 2.100.000 for those who live in National Housing Authority and work as state officials or polices. The number of family member living in each house both are 4-6 people. The house environment is quite healthy.

Based on the result, it is recommended that (1) the inhabitants living in the rural areas be more involved in 12 year-formal-education program, (2) the program of environment health be developed by the government, (3) elucidation and further survey be conducted by related government department in the completion of hospital physical facilities.
