Numbers puzzle game is one of games which can effect the development of children's speed of counting. Kindergarten Children especially who are ready to enter elementary school are given the numbers puzzle game to determine the effect of numbers puzzle on children's speed of counting.

This study aimed to determine the effect of numbers puzzle on children's speed of counting. And the expectation was it can be used in teaching math for kindergarten children at Aisiyah Bustanul Athfal 01 Singosari Malang Kindergarten.

This Numbers puzzle game is designed by the author self which has been through the learning media test and the users test.

The study was done in Aisiyah Bustanul Athfal 01 Singosari Malang Kindergarten on November 22nd to 26th, 2010. The study was designed using pre-test post-test experimental design with control class and experimental class. The study results were analyzed using U Mann Witney test analysis.

The study results showed that the numbers puzzle game had effects to the children's speed of counting at Aisiyah Bustanul Athfal 01 Singosari Malang Kindergarten. From the results of data analysis above, it showed that Z value was -1.993 with Asymp Sig value (2-tailed) was 0.046. Because asymp sig value of (2-tailed) (0.046) was < (less than) 0.05, It could be concluded that there was an effect on experimental class which had been given treatment.

Based on the study results, it was suggested to do further study for example the effects of puzzle game in reading or English puzzles on kindergarten children development.
